Picnic
and the Great Scenery
A month long ago, our boys have won the
departmental tournament worth Nu. 8000plus and has been a thrilling idea that
they decided to spot our picnic at Royal Botanical Park, Lampelri with that
amount and some additional class collection. It was dated on September 19 to 20. We all
were excited as much as teenage students.
We made to our picnic
spot at around 6:30PM. We took almost half an hour to get fire ablaze since it
was drizzling. We wish we had buttock up set and head down to set fire ablaze.
At the same time firewood was fully drench with rain. But a bottle of petrol
given by our bus driver made possible to set fire ablaze. Still then we had to
eat food uncooked tonight, but found it delicious since we were all hungry and
angry. We nearly broke into war while one of my friends was called for a second
share and has been not served with curry. His blood really got up and shouted
at the peak of his drunken voice while my other friend fueled upon saying, "Eat your shares first and leave others for second share". We had been slogging our guts out that day
since everybody seemed drunk. Nevertheless, we had a peaceful resolution after
consolation. we wrapped our dinner session up by singing and dancing round the hearth
where campfire was in full ablaze.
Huh! It was another
worst night on a cold ground as a carpet, I almost got gastritis and it wasn’t
a sound night after I blinked my eyes. Our carpet never gave us warmth that
night. It was a dawn when hangover struck my head. We broke the day with a cup
of tea and then with porridge. We played around with a camera stand placing to
the best scene possible. We took a photo of our best posts we could ever post.
I and my friend prayed for the best clear weather near by the holy lake which
is believed to give heavy rainfall if made noises and unpleasant things in and
around the lake. It was really an
amazing when we saw a sun shining just after prayers. We took some photos of
our best and left for the lunch.
We had local rice mixed
with Indian rice, beef, chicken, mushroom and Ama datsi etc. Some of our
lecturers joined our lunch session. After that we sung our indigenous and
traditional songs round the Tshog chang. And yeah, of course we enjoyed
the way back to our college. Some were singing as if in the discotheque and in
a dance party standing in a bus, some recording and snapping photos
simultaneously. Perhaps, it was fun making noise “Fire” when the passers passed
by the bus.
It has been a worst
picnic I could ever have in my all walks of life, yet I enjoyed the live scene
of our picnic spot.
